My name is Barbara and I have been a childcare provider for 28 years, part of that time being a registered family home and most recently I converted my license to a licensed group daycare, licensed with the state of Texas. I began my daycare career when my family was young. I didn't want to leave my girls to go out to work, so the next best idea was to start my own childcare out of my home. My youngest was two weeks old at the time. I have been very blessed all these years, my girls are the love of my life and I feel that if I can pass that warmth and affection to my daycare children then I will have accomplished something very rewarding in my life. I keep the children busy working on the basics: name writing, coloring, counting and singing. We have puzzle time, computer time and parties for every holiday including special visits by Santa and the Easter Bunny each year. I also have a large fenced back yard with a lot of toys and we spend as much time outside as possible, weather permitting. My facility is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and I specialize in the care of ages infant through five years.
Bob and I have been married for 32 yrs, and are parents to Brandi 31, & Tricia 28 who in turn have daughters, Kaelea 8 yrs. & Madelyn 3 weeks. All of our girls are the light of our lives! This is a recent picture of our two granddaughters:
